Field Service for Cultural Heritage

MúzeumCafé 1.

At the beginning of 2007 the Ministry of Education and Culture rejuvenated the responsibilities and organisation of heritage protection. Modification of the measure regulating archaeological excavations entered into force on 3 April 2007. With this, archaeological tasks in relation to large investments are now entirely organised by one central institution, an archaeological protection service. Its first explorations have already finished and at present it is conducting three archaeological investigations at three sites under its own auspices, plus one at another site involving a local museum.
