Contemporaries in the Veszprém Castle – the Vass collection

MúzeumCafé 1.

An exhibition of works by Victor Vasarely has opened in Veszprém Castle by the Fire Tower. Previously, a show of Hungarian and foreign contemporary artists’ work was held with the title ‘International Monochrome Painting’. Works by artists born towards the end of the 1960s were set next to each other as a dialogue with other generations. The permanent displays relate to the present, recent past and future of art, and include paintings by Jenő Barcsay, Tamás Lossonczy, Max Bill and Aurelie Nemours, as well as other significant artists now regarded as classics of contemporary art.
