The special flora and fauna of Naszály Hill indicate that it should be officially protected. Such a move would be legitimised if the known data about the area were as precise as possible. Therefore, in 2008 the Duna-Ipoly National Park is to issue a publication about the flora and fauna of the area. A survey of the hill’s insect life is to be made by the Natural History Museum. Presently, the number of known insect species at Naszály is 453, but after studying the collected material it should reach 600.
