MúzeumCafé 2.

Since its establishment in 1972, Hungary’s first and so far only natural history museum in the provinces, the Bakony Natural History Museum in Zirc, has been exploring the natural treasures of the Bakony Hills, which spread for more than 4000 square kilometres.

The museum has texts, taking into account both professional and educational aspects, in Hungarian and English. Using the patented lenticular procedure, these are mounted on boards and a small change in the reader’s visual angle makes the texts move on. With younger age groups in mind, the exhibition has an interactive section where visitors can learn about the investigations of 2006 and can also assemble the skeleton of a large mammoth in a simplified or more difficult way.
